Principal's Corner

Dear Van Voorhis Families,

Welcome to Van Voorhis Elementary! As we embark on another exciting school year, I am thrilled to extend a warm welcome to all our students, parents, sponsors and guardians. Our school community is a vibrant place where every student is encouraged to reach their full potential.

We believe that regular attendance and active participation are key to a successful educational experience. We encourage all students to be present and engaged in their learning journey. Your involvement in school activities, whether through volunteering in PTO, attending events, or supporting your child’s education at home, is invaluable.

At Van Voorhis, we strive to create a positive and nurturing environment. We emphasize the importance of kindness, respect, and empathy in all our interactions. By fostering these values, we aim to build a supportive community where everyone feels valued and respected.

We are deeply grateful for the unwavering support of our families. Your partnership is essential in helping us provide the best possible education for our students. Thank you for your dedication, cooperation, and trust in our school.

We encourage you to read the Student-Parent Handbook that is found on this website as it contains valuable information on a variety of issues.  Should you have any questions, please feel free to reach out.  I or any other staff member would be happy to answer any questions you may have.

Together, let’s make this school year a memorable and successful one. We look forward to working with you and witnessing the growth and achievements of our students.
